BFAR-NATIONAL MARINE FISHERIES DEVELOPMENT CENTER WELCOMES OJT STUDENTS FROM BICOL UNIVERSITY-TABACO CAMPUS

#NMFDCinAction|| The National Marine Fisheries Development Center (NMFDC) has officially commenced the 28-day training course on Responsible Fishing Technology!

This program welcomes thirty-nine (39) On-the-Job BS Fisheries students from Bicol State University-Tabaco Campus. They will be equipped with essential knowledge on both current and innovative technologies, alongside practical skills through hands-on experiences in gear construction and shipboard training. The NMFDC is the sole provider of training for Marine Capture Fisheries.

The opening program and activities were graced by Mrs. Rhoda S. Bacordo, Officer-in-Charge of the BFAR-NMFDC; Mr. Napoleon Salvador J. Lamarca, Chief Aquaculturist; Remegio Salinas, Head Training Section, and esteemed resource speakers such as Ms. Claribel B. Salazar from the Capture Fisheries Division, Mr. Kent Cyrus Saturnino, and Mr. Alvin Ignacio from the Philippines Fisheries Observer Program.
